The Weekly Deals 8/10/09

Good Morning...

I loved looking at what everyone found and getting so many great ideas.

Things were kinda slow this weekend at my house.. But I did mange to pick up 2 things at my local Goodwill.

A few weeks ago I painted an older pink ironing board black. I had it sitting in the the Florida room so that I can look at it. lol Well, my 12 year old son decided it was a surf board and tried to get on top of it.. little to say it broke. I look at target and walmart for a new one ... and OH MY LORD... they are over $20 bucks each.. I was so surprised that they go for that much.. While at Goodwill I found this brown one.. I couldn't find the price on it so the man in the back... How much is this? He said well since the cover it missing I will but $1.01 on it.. I said YAY BABY .. SOLD!! lol he looked at my like I was crazy.. lol but I didn't care.

Sorry I missed out last weekend.

These were just a few things that I picked up this weekend and you know me as soon as I get them home I want to create the vision I see when I buy them.. lol So with a little spray paint and everyday cleaner look what I did..... I couldn't believe the difference it made with just spray painting these plastic lids. And I got them for free. I was just planning to stick them in the garage so that hubby could just put nails and screws in. But now I think I will use them in the Kitchen pantry.

WOW!!! I needed a new Ironing board but didnt see one that I liked. So i took this old one that I got from the garage and painted the ugly pink black. And the new cover I picked up from HomeGoods. I love it now! Don't you? The picture isnt a good sorry ;(

I got this from the office.. They were going to throw it away so I spoke up really quick... I could really use that. And a little Lime green spray paint, and some tissue paper and this is it.

I stopped by Goodwill on the way home Friday, because I knew Hubby want to work in the yard Saturday morning cutting down some limbs off the pines and get them to the land field before noon.. Well that blew going to yard sells.. I got both shelfs for $3.13 each.. and the basket you will never believe that some left it out at the land field for me and it is in PERFECT condition. So with a little spray paint and knobs look what I did...

We had a storage room that we put a lot of things in when we decided to try and sell our house, about 2 years ago. (been so long I forgot almost what was in there) Well, 2 weekends ago hubby decided to clean it all out and bring everything back home. And I found my old yardsale find wicker bench that I wanted to give or just throw it away, after joining blog land and looking at everything that you can do with spray paint, I gave it a try. LOVE IT NOW ;)

I also found this lamp and gave it a new look also.. it is now sitting on my sons desk in our office..
